The Schweitzer's Mustang

Two groups of 12 1964 1/2 and 1965 Mustang convertibles, were produced for Walt Disney’s Magic Skyway exhibit. These, along with an unknown number of Ford and Mercury convertibles, were vehicles that carried Magic Skyway visitors through the exhibit. 5F08T383386, which belongs to Al Schweitzer and his Son Gary from Traverse City, Michigan. This is the only known surviving Magic Skyway Mustang from the second batch in 1965. Al and Gary Schweitzer are currently in the process of a complete restoration of this Worlds Fair Mustang, which was on the conveyor ride through the "Magic Skyway" at the Mustang's introduction in 1964. They promised to keep me in touch about the progress and it's undergoing a complete full-scale restoration to its original worlds fair condition by Mustang Central.
