Another hard part of the body restoration is waiting here for you! The inner rocker and also the lower part of the a-pillar has to come out. To make it looking better I show how christine is looking with one original and one NOS fender again. If you have questions about that don't hesitate to ask me. After finishing the body section there will be five more sections you could follow in the future. There will be a Paint , Body and Interior reassembling, Electric and a Power train section.

Rambos Crashrepair

This is part one of Rambo's story. After starting the restoration on christine I found that passengers doors was too much rusted, to try an repair. When aksing my friend Walter for a usable door he told me that he have one, but that it's still attached to an crashed body. When I saw rambo the first time I was impressed on the good overall condition. This car should normally only be a door for Christine. The car was involved in a heavy crash with a VW Golf (btw: the Volkswagen don't overlive that!). The car was offered than as a parts car for the pricely sum of around $2700. When I saw him the first, I directly want this car, mainly to get this already rebuild and very strong engine. But when my girlfriend saw rambo she loved the car from the first moment. Also I told that it isn't possible to hold two mustangs she said "Please give him a chance, don't butcher him!". After a long search I found the right workbench to get the banana out...

Primering after the Sandblasting

Primering after the Sandblasting

After finishing the Sandblasting I took the rest (still some there!) of the car, for a complete primering job. This is neccessary to prevent the bare metal getting rusty again. After that we took a closer look to see the result of the blast. The good news was that I now have a 100% rustfree car. The bad news were, that we discovered several new holes which need replacement. Both Torque-boxes, the inner rocker were shot and also the floors and the firewall didn't look as good as before. I needed one weeks to get over this hill, before I felt my emergy for this rustoration comes back. Then I took my parts catalog to do some additional orders.
Don't ask how much I already put in this car - I wan't tell you! Don't forget that every order here from germany costs me an additional of 50% for shipping and taxes...
